The Cat Mate Screen Fitting pet door is designed for installation in weak materials including glass (plate, not tempered!), screen or thin wood panel.

The clear, acrylic flap has a brush-type weather stripping which provides for a very good seal. The flap may be locked shut. The flap contains a magnet which helps the pet door to stand up to wind.

The frame is a high impact plastic.
