Pet doors have always been a utilitarian product--let the dog or cat in or out--without much regard for "style". Now Classy Custom has introduced a line of pet doors that are high performance but, also, incorporate designer features.
The "Sherbet Alley" deluxe pastels
plastic framed doors available in a rainbow of colors including mint, "very pink", white and lemon yellow. These feature a painted steel locking cover with the same dead bolt lock and one matching decorative frame. These frames are molded ABS plastic and easily painted to any color you choose. The mfr has been happy with results using Krylon indoor/outdoor paint in the past.
High performance features
All Classy Custom pet doors incorporate a silicone flap that is very soft and flexible. The flap is fastened at the top with screws.
These flaps incorporate magnetic edges that provide for an air-tight seal on the sides. Together with a floating threshold, the flap seals tightly on all four sides.
The Pet Portals are "self-framing" in a range of 1/16" to 2". This means that the Classy Custom pet doors may be installed in virtually every exterior, interior (including hollow core) and storm door on the market. (Measure your door thickness to be safe).
Once you've selected the Pet Portal, you have a wide choice of decorative frames and frame "sets" that may be added to the outside or interior as desired. You can find them in our Flap & Parts Section.These include the four "Sherbet Alley" colors, graphite and special frame sets that reflect special occasions. (Frame "sets" include a steel door painted to continue the theme of the frame and would mount on the inside only). This decorative interchangeability, which is a patented feature by the way, allows you to change the style of the pet door to match the season, your interior color if different from the exterior or just your mood!
