Remove the pet
door from the
package;
identify all
parts before
continuing.

Determine
Location in Wall
of House or
Garage: -
1) Locate studs-pet door location has to be
between two studs.
- 2) Determine the
height
for the
pet door
installation.
(Take in
account
the pet
size.)
Warning
Electrical
shock or
gas line
penetration
may
cause
serious
injury
and/ or
death.
Make
sure
that
there
are no
obstructions
on
either
side of
the
wall.
Door Cut Out: -
1) The
size of
the pet
door
will
determine
the size
of the
cutout
to be
made in
the
wall.
-
2) X-large pet door will fit between 2
studs with 16" centers.
- 3) Cut
template
as
marked
to the
size of
your pet
door.
-
4)
Center
template
at
desired
pet door
height,
adjust
desired
location
from the
left or
right to
assure
installation
is
between
two
studs,
tape in
place,
and
trace
the pet
door
pattern
on
interior
wall.
-
5)
After
the
pattern
has been
made,
double
check
that the
pattern
is
square
and
centered
before
proceeding.
-
6)
Drill
hole to
receive
saw
blade.
Use a
saw and
cut out
the
pattern
in the
interior
wall.
-
7)
Before
moving
outside,
use a
small
square
and
reflect
the cut
out to
the
inside
of the
exterior
wall.
-
8)
Using a
drill
(drill
holes
for
outside
location)
drill
the top.
bottom .
left and
right
corners.
Move
outside
and
complete
the
cutout.
Mounting Pet
Door: Initially
install all
frame parts
using only
center screw. -
1) Large & Medium doors will need to be
placed directly next to one stud and a 2" x
4" frame will need to be installed in the
remaining side, top and bottom of wall.
-
2) Attach Adjuster Plates on both sides of
the interior frame and top and bottom of
exterior frame using Phillips head screws
provided. Do not tighten screws at this
time.
- 3) Place pre-hung pet door
in cut
out from
inside.
Attach
with
Phillips
head
screws.
-
4) Move
to other
side of
wall and
install
exterior
frame,
by
sliding
into
opening
and
attaching
with
Phillips
head
screws
provided.
-
5)
Slide
adjuster
Plates
against
exterior
frame so
there
are no
gaps and
tighten
screws.
