Some excellent pet doors come in "wall" versions designed to "frame out"
the wall for you. These are generally easier to install if you want a
pet door in a wall.
But what if the particular pet door you want doesn't come that way?
The answer is to "frame the wall yourself"! The
diagram at right shows an example. The opening through the wall is sized
correctly for the pet door you've chosen. You might need to get longer
screws or bolts at the hardware store.
Important:
You can kill yourself by cutting through an electrical line. If you
have any doubt as to your ability to do this safely, we strongly suggest
employing a licensed contractor for the work. |
