The Hale Pet Door "Omni Sash" Window Model pet door
is designed to fit in vertically-sliding double hung or single hung windows. It is offered in dual pane glass and with double vinyl flaps for increased performance in severe climate areas.
Here are the factory specifications including a description of the adjustment mechanism

Frame
Designed to fit into a window track 7/8” or wider but can be factory modified to fit tracks as small as ½”.

Adjusting Mechanism
Two 4” x 5/16"-18 pan head bolts and four 5/16"-18 jam nuts. The top two nuts hold the bolts tightly. The bottom two nuts, when adjusted downward, effect a sideways jackscrew type motion allowing the unit to be tightly secured within the window track without the use of screws. This mechanism is the same as that used on the Hale Omni Panel for sliding glass doors.

Sliding Plate
1/16” x 4 ½” tall plate on both the inner and outer sides of the adjustment area, color coordinated to frame color. Plate can be lowered to make adjustment and raised to cover mechanism when adjustment is complete.

Double pane insulated tempered glass standard.

Pile Weather Stripping
Top and bottom edges of window unit contain dense 5/16” gray nylon pile weather stripping. Nylon is woven into a .270 wide and 1/32” thick nylon backing. This weather stripping greatly reduces the amount of air that can pass through the flap particularly in the double flap version.

No Metal Contact
Both side edges are covered with 3/32” vinyl booties to provide cushioning and no metal contact.

Vinyl Weather Stripping
Unit also comes with extra length of 1 7/8” x 1/16” black vinyl weather stripping to attach to back edge of your window to prevent air leakage.
To this list we should add that this door comes with the normal Hale 3/16 " Lexan (polycarbonate) locking cover mounted from the side so as to avoid any conflict with the sliding window. As always, a steel spring-loaded lock secures the locking cover in place. A second locking cover may be added for use on the outside if desired.

A training benefit of
the Hale Pet Door line is that the magnets may be removed from the frame using a flat-bladed screwdriver. The result is the flap is extremely easy to push by even the smallest pet--a training plus. Likewise, and for the same reason, this would be the best high performance pet door to share between a very large dog and a small dog or cat.
Alternatively, Hale has developed specialized 'training' flaps which simplify training. These may be ordered at Hale replacement flaps.

Return Policy
Because these pet doors are built custom to your specification, returns will be allowed a 50% credit toward the purchase of a different Hale Pet Door. The Patio Pacific normal return policy applies in respect to time limits only.
Tip Will your window open high enough to accept the pet door? Add 4" to flap height and see if your window will open that far!

If the product does not meet your expectations, please contact our office for return authorization and return it within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price. Be sure to pack the product well as we can only give 50% credit for a damaged pet door.
HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. guarantees and warrants, subject to the conditions and restrictions stated below, that the Hale Pet Door™ products and component parts thereof, purchased from HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. shall be free from any defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty period for all Hale Pet Door™ model pet doors is effective from the date of purchase and extends to the anniversary date marking the end of the fifth year. We agree to exchange or repair at our expense, F.O.B. our plant or warehouse any unit found to be defective in workmanship and/or material, subject to plant inspection. (See notes A and B below)
1st year – 100% of all parts and labor
2nd year – 50% of all parts and labor
3rd year – 40% of all parts and labor
4th year – 30% of all parts and labor
5th year – 20% of all parts and labor
This warranty does not include shipping to HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. or any field service labor unless the product was installed by Hale Pet Door™.
A-Glass Breakage: We use fully tempered glass of the greatest quality and strength available for each application. It also meets or exceeds all safety glazing laws and codes in the United States. Even tempered glass will break on occasion, but it is very rare. When there is a breakage of glass for whatever reason, within the FIRST YEAR, we will replace the unit for 50% of the current total price. There is no warranty on glass after the first year.
B-Parts Damaged by Misuse or Neglect: HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. will pay 20% of the cost of the current list price of parts and labor. No reimbursement shall be greater than the price of the replacement part.
C-Omni Oversize Panels: This application is not recommended. Therefore, we will only warranty 50% of the cost of the panel for the first year. However, the pet door itself is covered per our standard warranty.
HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. will credit 50% towards the cost of a replacement Hale Pet Door™ that was damaged due to mis-cutting, mis-measuring or any other damage due to no fault of HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. HSPD Manufacturing, Inc. will not accept any responsibility beyond 50% if damage is due to no fault of HSPD Manufacturing, Inc.
