The Ideal "E" Cat Patio Pet Door for Sliding Glass Doors
combines the "E-Cat" Electronic Door with an Ideal "Fast Fit" Patio Panel.
If you want to let your own cats in but not the neighborhood cats then you'll need an electronic cat door. Sometimes the only place to put the pet door is in the sliding glass door. So here's an electronic cat door mounted in a panel designed to insert into a sliding glass door frame.
This one has a particularly large 7" x 9" opening. A 2-Way lock is included in addition to the electronics (there is a 3rd setting as well that disables the electronics. This may be a useful feature for training). It consists of an Ideal "E-Cat" electronic pet door combined with an Ideal "Fast Fit" patio panel.
Frame thickness is 5/8" at the bottom and about 7/8" at the top because of the height adjustment mechanism. The uprights are notched at the bottom to fit over a typical rail no more than about 1/4" wide and 1/4" tall. If the rail is wider than this, the panel will not be able to straddle it.

These patio pet doors are not recommended for use by dogs.
