Autoslide, an Australian company, has developed a remarkable product designed to assist people in accessing their sliding glass doors and, as well, to enable the sliding glass door to function as a pet door.
The concept is simple: The Autoslide system is centered about a trim, motorized housing mounted at the top or bottom of a sliding glass door. Together with the supplied rack, the motor engages the rack and opens or closes the slider.
Pets may wear a collar key to trigger the motor or, if you prefer, infra-red motion detectors may be used to open the slider from either side. When opening for pets, the width of the opening may be specified to only what is needed for the pet. After a delay set by the user, the door automatically closes.
Human access is implemented by wireless push buttons mounted inside and outside or else a gentle tug on the door handle activates the Autosldie to open the door.
Safety features include an automatic retract when an obstacle is encountered as well as disengagment when the slider door is locked.
Since there is no framing to step over, no flap to push and no limit to head room or width, the Autoslide is the most easily accessible pet door available. For aged or infirm pets, nothing is better.

One Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty (USA & Canada)
Autoslide Pty Ltd, the only manufacturer of AUTOSLIDE® branded products, warrants their product to the original retail purchaser to be free of material and/or workmanship defects for a period of one year after the date of original retail purchase. Proof of the original purchase and a Return Merchandise Authorisation number is required to obtain a remedy under this limited warranty and the product must be returned to an Autoslide service centre at your expense. Autoslide USA service centre is located in Arizona.During the limited warranty period, Autoslide Pty Ltd or its authorized service representative will repair or replace at Autoslide Pty Ltd’s option, without charge, a materially defective product. We may use new or refurbished replacement parts. If we replace the product, it may be with a new or refurbished product of same or similar design. Autoslide Pty Ltd may keep any removed or defective parts, and/or replaced product. The repaired or replaced product is warranted for the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days, whichever is greater. Repair or replacement of this product at Autoslide Pty Ltd’s option is your exclusive remedy. This limited warranty only applies to products purchased, used and serviced in the United States and its territories, or Canada. This is the only warranty applicable to this product. Products returned without valid proof of purchase or proper Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.
