Put a pet door in a sliding glass door

Put a pet door through a hole in a door

Install a pet door in a window

Install a pet door through a wall

Install a large electronic pet door in a door or wall

Put a pet door in a storm door

• Purchase a storm door locally. Measure the thickness of the storm door.
• Then purchase a "self-framing" pet door for doors that will adjust to that thickness. You'll find these in our Pet Doors for Doors category. If you need a storm door, you'll want a good "4-season" pet door.

It is possible to purchase a complete storm door with a pet door pre-installed. However, we've encountered some problems with this approach.

First, a considerable amount of assembly is still required as the storm doors are shipped "knock down".

Second, it's difficult to be sure that the pet door is installed at the proper height which is extremely important. And, finally, if you have a problem, it's more difficult to get it resolved from a distance.
