Dog Doors Intended for Kennel Use
Kennel operators are generally looking for the most durable and dependable pet door. So pet doors included in this section tend to focus more on durability than they do on aesthetics. However, we sell a lot of these pet doors to homeowners as well who find that these doors fit their particular needs. You can put them in a back door or a wall and get their special benefits.

Guillotine-type dog doors may be used alone to allow remote opening and closing of a dog run. Or they may be combined with a dog door to provide weather-tightness also. We recommend staying with one brand when combining these two types.
Some cautions for home use:
1. Kennel doors tend to be very noisy in use because of the common two-piece flap design. This may not matter in a noisy kennel but may not be ok for your bedroom.
2. There are quiet versions that use a single flap design. These, however, are the most suseptible to wind. One exception to this type is the Endura Flap™ dog door for kennels. It has a flexible flap that is safe and reasonably quiet and yet is exceptionally wind-resistant.
