• Replacement Flaps

Pet Eze Company was started in California during the early 1980s with a new line of patio panel pet doors, called the 'Deluxe 81' in five sizes and three lines of door mount pet doors. 

Class A, B and C were self-framing door mounts in small, medium and large sizes.

Class A-1, B-1 and C-1 were the same sizes but in a 'standard' or non-self-framing style and less expensive than the self-framing versions.

Class A-2, B-2 and C-2 were the same as the corresponding A-1 etc except that the rear, decorative frame was missing. All had aluminum locking covers. The flaps were initially a solid rubber in varying colors. These were soon replaced with clear and colorless vinyl.

Over the years there were numerous changes and additions. The aluminum locking cover was replaced by steel and, later, by an insulating thermoplastic. The -2 series was dropped and, later the -1 series was dropped leaving only the self-framing door mounts which had been most popular. An Xlarge door mount was added with a black and very durable flap to begin with which was later replaced by a clear vinyl flap. A spring-loaded patio panel that did not include a locking cover was introduced.

Pet Eze used a number of other trade names including 'Greater Freedom' and 'InstaFit'. They later changed their corporate name to US Pet Products.

US Pet Products was purchased by Radio Systems in the late 1990's and the US Pet Products line has been re-branded with the 'PetSafe Classic' trade name. The Deluxe 81 patio panels were redesigned but the door mount pet doors remained the same except for the name change and tinting of the flaps.
