The Petsafe 700 Series Plastic Pet Door

was originally known as the Staywell 700 Series "Original" pet doors prior to the Petsafe purchase of Staywell.

Petsafe has made a number of improvements in the Staywell 700 'Original' series pet doors since purchase. p>

These are 'Standard' design, plastic framed pet doors suitable for installation in solid core wood doors or other solid materials. Installation in a wall or hollow-core door requires that the user 'frame out' the door or wall first.

Petsafe has incorporated some significant improvements in the medium and large sizes of these dog doors.

Flaps are rigid and consist of two parts: A central flap and overlapping 'U' shaped gasket piece. The result is an unusually tight sealing flap. Because of this two-part design, this pet door is relatively noisy in use.

Rigid, separate locking covers slide down from the top. These 'Original' pet doors are available in white frame with clear flap only.

My husband finished installing our doggie door which was a replacement for the Staywell 760 Large Door that came with our house back in 2005. It's wonderful and we love it.
