The Petsafe Freedom Pet Door
is a new self-framing pet door design that features a very broad adjustment range. Frame and locking cover are metal.
Features:
- Self-framing adjustment range of 3/8"-2". The self-framing portion is metal rather than plastic or vinyl.
- Liner made of aluminum must be cut with hacksaw to fit doors thinner than 11/16".
- Plastic locking cover with spring-loaded steel pin lock for security. The steel pin engages a hole in the framing for a particularly strong way of locking using this particular design.
- Vinyl flap has a 'bellows' area on each edge and a brush-type weather strip on the frame. Both are intended to help preserve a seal in cold weather.
- Flap attachment screws are fitted in slots allowing precise up-and-down adjustment as well as side-to-side adjustment.
- Metal frame is nicely miter-cut at corners for a neat appearance.
This door is similar to the Petsafe Plastic framed pet door and uses exactly the same replacement flap. However, it does have fuzzy weather-strip down the sides of the frame which improves cold weather utility compared with the Petsafe Freedom Plastic.

All parts, excluding vinyl flaps, are covered under warranty, and labor is covered for the first year of ownership. Thereafter, there is a minimum service charge for the repair or replacement of the product. Vinyl flaps are warranted for one (1) year. Misuse, loss, improper handling, commercial use, and dirty or worn parts are not covered. Radio Systems will not pay for loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of your product, or any incidental or consequential damages.
