The most important new feature of the
Thermo Sash II is the incorporation of a spring-load, 'no-tools'
installation feature with a 3" adjustment range. You simply place the spring
loaded end into the window track, press against the spring to position the
other end in the opposite track and tighten two thumb screws with your
fingers (to prevent removal by someone from outside).
The smaller size, Small/Medium in both regular and electronic, uses acrylic
flaps with built-in locks. The larger regular sizes, medium through large,
use a separate locking cover which slides down a slot on the panel frame.
These locking covers utilize a spring-loaded dead bolt lock to engage the
frame and lock tightly shut. Remember that they will need enough clearance
directly above the pet door to be removed and inserted. Also remember that
your window track must be at least 1" wide to accept the pet door framing.
The Small/Medium unit incorporates a
'4-way' locking mechanism.
For example, if you want the pets in at night, you might set the pet door
for 'in-only' in the late afternoon. |

Adjustment ranges
vary generally from 18" to 51" in 3" increments. Each door
has a 3" adjustment range. Window sizes
36" and wider are considered special order and may take three to
four weeks for delivery if the required glass unit isn't in
stock. Call to check.
Note: Our glass supplier has changed
equipment and can no longer make some of the shorter pieces
needed for "A" and "B" ranges. As we use up existing glass
stocks, these will become unavailable. |

* Some of the smaller widths result in the locking
knobs interfering with the locking cover. In those cases, the locking cover is
not included. Affected models are noted in the size/color drop-down after you
'Buy Now'.
** Bronze models have aluminum colored framing around the
flap itself. The remainder of the framing will be bronze.
*** Small/Medium electronic doors come with two collar keys. Spare
keys are available. Note that the Small/Medium size comes with collar keys
intended for cats. Larger keys more suitable for small dogs are available at
extra cost.
**** As shown in the graphic, the pet door flap
is mounted to the left end of the panel. It can be easily moved to the right end
by the customer by removing and reinstalling the flap. |
