Make sure that the collar band is no greater than ¼” thick and ¾” wide. If not, the collar band will not fit through the loops on the collar key.

Step 1 Replace the Old Collar Key

  • Remove the collar from your pet.
  • Thread the collar band through the loops on the back of the small dog magnetic key.
  • On the back of the collar key, it will indicate which direction is front.
  • Face the magnetic collar key towards your pet’s nose when the collar is attached.

Step 2 Reattach the Collar

  • Re-attach the collar to your pet’s neck.
  • Adjust the collar so that it sits under your pet’s chin, as opposed to the back of their neck.
