  • P: 74 3⁄4" – 77 3⁄4"

  • R: 93" – 96 1⁄4" (additional cost)

Wondering how to measure your track? Review our Track Measuring Guide.

If your measured track height does not fall within one of the ranges above, we can make a custom height! Choose the range that your track height falls into and when ordered you will be asked to give the exact height of your slider track inside very top to very bottom. In each case you will have 3" of height adjustment with the height you specify approximately in the middle of that range. The ranges are:

  • Under 74 1⁄2"
  • Between 80 1⁄4" – 93 1⁄4"
  • Over 96 1⁄4"

Custom height option may take up to 4 weeks to special order the glass and build the panel.

CAUTION: If your measured track height is near the bottom of the adjustment range then you should review A Note of Caution.

Please Note: Make sure to check out how to measure your pet for the perfect fit.

The Endura Flap Quick Panel 3 is a dog door for sliding glass doors with a high insulation value. Featuring a spring-loaded design, you won’t have to use a single tool to install this. It fits right into the track of your sliding glass door, which means there won’t be any permanent alterations on your door.  Engineered with 3⁄16” single pane, tempered glass and a polyolefin-based polymer flap with magnets lining the perimeter, this panel pet door is extremely energy efficient. Below freezing weather? No problem! The Quick Panel 3 has you covered.

Please note that the panel fits into the sliding door track, taking up a portion of space in the track. Due to this, a screen door cannot be completely closed without blocking the pet door, resulting in leaving a small opening where bugs could potentially access your home. If you want to prevent this, the Bug Warden is an attachment that fills the gap between the panel and the screen that can be purchased separately.

  • Small–Extra Large flap sizes
  • Three height ranges accommodate multiple glass door sizes
  • Customizable heights are an option and are final sale
  • Installs in the track of your existing sliding glass door, taking up a portion of the space in the door opening
  • Extruded aluminum frame made for sliding glass door tracks at least 1” thick. If you are looking for a pet door for your vinyl patio door, check out one of our best sliding panels for sliding glass doors.
  • 3⁄16” single pane glass is 50% thicker than other single pane panels
  • Ability to use flap in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Designed to remain sealed in winds reaching 50mph
  • Magnets along the sides of the flap for optimal weather resistance

5 5 Highly recommend this product. Great customer support when ordering. Good range of sizes. Arrived on time and easy to install.

The Endura Flap Sliding Glass doors are the only Sliding glass doors with the height range of the Step and allow me to change that height as well as a good range of flap sizes. I also appreciate the amount or information given on the WEB site. I had purchased and returned two other manufactures doors because one was not square and the other company did not have a size between the large and extra large Flaps. I had a large for my previous dog and I ordered the extra large for my new dogs but it was to big.
I called PetDoors to confirm the measurements and ended up ordering the door over the phone which was quick and painless. I received the door when expected and installed with no problems.

5 5 Excellent door and customer service

The door is extremely high quality, a major upgrade from the previous version we had (which had lasted 13 years so this is saying a lot). I was also blown away by the PetDoors customer service. There was a small delay with the order due to inventory so they sent me an upgraded version of a similar door. Thank you, PetDoors!

  • We are returning the door. review by Paul
5 2 We are returning the door.

The locking mechanism is very cheap. The metal dowel that is supposed to lock the door barely holds in the hole because of how short it is. We'd have to cut a dowel rod to stick in the track to keep the door from opening. I just need to know what to do to return this product? I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!!

I have a 105 lb pit/ American bulldog mix! He was hitting his back on the old door and now that is no longer the issue! 5’ from the old door I could feel the cold coming through! Not a problem with this awesome door! The flap stays securely in place and I never worry about mosquitos or flies making their way into my home! Easy install! I would highly recommend this product!

    5 4 pretty awesome

I mean, what can I say? This door is pretty awesome. Really the only answer to what you do in a rental property. The only downsides were that I ordered the door that was supposed to fit in my door and it did NOT fit. And I know how to measure. Had to find someone to cut it for me. Also the weather stripping is not so great, but I live in California so it's not too big of a deal here. All in all, it was worth the ridiculously extravagant price!

  • Unintended Consequences review by Nanomart
    5 4 Unintended Consequences

The patio cat door was so easy to install, and the cats took to it after we propped it open for a couple of days. It actually looks like it's part of the door design, which is a great aesthetic asset. Two problems took us awhile to solve: 1) The magnets on the flap sides and the cat door opening are just too strong. Our two cats weigh around 11 pounds each and met with more resistance opening the flap than they were used to with their old "in-the-wall" door. I used two "straps" of tape around the flap to pull its sides in a bit to lower the resistance. One cat is now using it but the other is still mystified on how to get in and out. 2) It takes a lot of ingenuity to figure out how to effectively lock the patio door on the inside once the lock locations are displaced by the insertion of the cat door panel. We finally put in a decorative slide bolt at the top of the door frame vertically. A small hole to accept the bolt which is drilled into the top of the casing finalizes the locking mechanism. The back plate of the slide bolt needed a 1/4 to 1/2" shim to bring it out enough to place the hole far enough out from the glass for stability. Sounds complicated but is a very simple solution and looks as though it belongs there. If the next tenants want the patio door in a normal position, the holes are unobtrusive and easy to fill. Hopes this helps!!!

Required door company to install with drills and screws and extra insulation, and even then it is not draft or leak proof in blustery weather. the video of the easy installation is very inaccurate. Now I can't clean the entire window without uninstalling the entire project. Very frustrating product for such a high price, and my smaller dog hates how hard iti s to get through it.

5 5 he knows what he loves

Darth is our 115lb Malamute. 3 years ago we moved into a townhouse with a sliding door to the yard. Lots of research later I decided this door will be robust enough for Darth. In 3 years he has only managed to break one single screw from the flap panel, and he is not gentle with this door at all!

The door and the rigid flap has held up spectacularly! The dog and 2 cats use it continuously. Recently we got a tiny 6lb dog and this door is too tall for him, so we got him a door his size and slid it into the sliding door next to this XLL one. Now the entire sliding door is full, and finally also secure, nobody can get in or out. My pets will never be without a door again

    5 4 Endura Flap

I purchased the Pet Door for sliding glass doors. In one year, the Endura flap came apart on one side. There is no way to repair it but to replace it. The warranty says this flap is lifetime. Well, It's not lifetime. I live in a climate that ranges from 40 - 100 degrees F. And there is very little wind because it is protected under the house eaves. The door is great. The flap therefore will eventually need to be replaced. Nothing lasts a lifetime.

  • Patio Pacific Endura Flag Quick Panel Pet Door in Bronze review by Anna
5 5 Patio Pacific Endura Flag Quick Panel Pet Door in Bronze

Ordered this door around Christmas and it was a little slow in arriving as it was backordered. This color is also out of stock at all major home improvement shops so not a surprise.

Needed this door as a temporary pet door in a ground floor apartment that has black/bronze sliding patio doors. This pet door fit perfectly and the weather stripping made a perfect seal, not only from the slider door to the pet door (fantastic soft close) but from the open slider to the outside. Color matched the slider so you can't tell from the outside that there is a pet door installed and the best part was the adjustable threshold for my old dog. On the lowest setting, he walks in and out, no high stepping effort, no jumping. This door is rock solid, heavy and not flimsy like others I looked at. When delivered, there was a crack in the very top of the window pane weather stripping, near the pop in pull down. They offered a completely replacement but I could not return as I was already in apartment and needed it installed. I was credited a portion of my original purchase which I appreciated. That crack has not affected its performance, very glad I went with this door. Only additions I made were to have someone drill an extra hole in door frame to be able to insert the pin lock at the new location and I had to take out the bottom magnets in the door because it was actually too sturdy and my old dog had a little trouble at first nosing open the door. Door flap is also same rock solid quality and sturdy with good seal even without the magnet.

Door is great; flap is better!! The flap closes tightly every time, but is not at all difficult for our dog to go through. I was worried about spiders and other arizona critters being able to get through a flap style door, but this door is great! No open areas, seals very nicely when closed! Thank you

  • Perfect for 2 cats and medium sized dog review by Pam
5 5 Perfect for 2 cats and medium sized dog

I needed a door to my balcony that would be acceptable for my two cats and Brittany Spaniel. One cat is bold and goes in and out all the time, my dog took little more practice and it was a while before my second cat felt comfortable. He is still tentative about it but has adjusted well. To begin, I removed the magnets and the bottom bar so it would move more easily. That helped with the training. Now I have one magnet in the bottom bar and that seems to be the right amount.
I really liked the ability to adjust the magnet, and the ease of installation. However, even with the draft stopper installed on the outer edge, there is still a slight draft this winter. I put additional insulation between the sliding door and the pet door but need to put more. I go in and out frequently so it is not as tight as if I never used the elder.
Overall, I'm very happy. This is much better than doors that my friends use. Well worth it.

5 3 Noisy flap not great for timid cats

Out cats used an inexpensive cat door for years but so far will not use this one-real bummer. They are afraid of this flap, partly I think, because how tight it seals and the noise it makes opening and closing. It doesn't help it is opaque.
The product otherwise is very well made and fits a sliding door well. and is easy to install.

5 5 Great Find, Easy Install, Value

Purchased medium opening for16# Schnauzer and use in SW Colorado. The initial install was just as easy as advertised and adjustments were done in less than 30 minutes in the door track. Then my wife noticed the patio screen door track was close to the same width s the Patio Pacific. I quickly relocated the Patio Pacific to the screen track and we had two additional benefits - we could still use the screen for our comfort AND completely close and lock the sider using the door lock. Pet doors needs to add that option to their list, cautioning of course that perhaps not all screen tracks are a good fi!

5 5 Exactly what we needed.

I'm very satisfied with the quality of this pet door and do not hesitate to recommend it to others. Materials are sturdy, Endura Flap closes securely. Installation was not difficult. This was a custom order due to the size of our patio door, and ordering was easy. It took our lab/pointer mix a while to feel comfortable using the door. He very quickly learned how it functioned, but he is so well-behaved and respectful that it took a lot of encouragement before he felt it was okay to "push" his way through a "closed"opening without permission!

  • 2 problems review by Disappointed
    5 3 2 problems

My main complaint is that one of the tension springs (there are 2 on the header of the door) is defective. It makes removing the door very difficult without the use of pliers or channel locks. Also, at the time I ordered, and then agian in a subsequent e-mail, I requested to be notified when the door would be shipped so that I could be home to receive it. This did not happen and it was left on the driveway while I was away. I was disappointed in the customer service, and especially in the manufacture precision.

ed note - You should contact Patio Pacific about a warranty claim on the spring mechanism. As to the notification: Did you receive the tracking number via email as you should have?

  • The doggie door was a wonderful investment review by Suzi-Q
5 5 The doggie door was a wonderful investment

I purchased the Endura Flap - Quick Panel III Patio Pet Door - Extra Large in Bronze. I have a Shepherd and an Australian Cattle dog. The large would have been fine, but my Shepherd is an old man, and I wanted it to be as easy as possible on him. They were accustom in using their nose to open the flap with their old doggie door (home made, by me), but this one took more energy and strength and they were not sure about using it. After reading the advice of taping down the metal thresh bar, which help reduce the magnetic hold, that helped a lot. They only had a few days to get use to it before my leaving on a 2 week trip, but they did fine and I kept the tape on. When my next trip came up two months later, I put the door back up in the track and I took the tape off, and they didn't have any trouble at all. Even my older cat likes to use it. In fact he was the first one to open up the flap before I put the tape down. Are we speaking "Intelligence" here? My younger cat, 1 yr old, doesn't even attempt using it, which is fine with me.
The door is very easy to put up. I'm a 68 year old female, and did it myself. It matches my bronze sliding door, and I'm very pleased with how it looks.
I don't keep mine up all the time, although I could, and maybe if I didn't live in the hot dessert, I would. But if I know I'll be gone for most of a day, I'll put the door back up.....it is that easy to do.
You will not be disappointed. It's well made, very sturdy, and locks into the door track and frame easily.

  • Great Product! review by Av8rGrl
    5 4 Great Product!

Love this door. It's well made and sturdy. However, we have 3 dogs: Dutch Shepherd, Rat Terrier, and a Chihuahua. They have been using a conventional doggy door for over 7 years. This one they are apprehensive about going through because the sound that the flap makes is such a solid sound, as if it was a door that was actually closed. The chihuahua paws at it and get in eventually. The rat terrier refuses to use it unless you open it for him LOL, and the dutch shepherd doesn't understand that it's still "open". We have worked with them extensively on it, even bribing them through with treats, but they are not a fan, like I am. We are going to keep trying, though. I wish there was a way to swap out the type of flap, after the fact. It's being used between a house and a sun room, so the endura flap isn't exactly necessary.

ed. note. try taping the threshold down with 3" of duct tape temporarily. It will simplify training a lot.

    5 5 Excellent Choice

I can't say enough, how pleased we are with this pet door. We have been leaving our sliding glass door open enough that the dogs could get in and out to the lanai to use the screen pet door out there. That made for some very cold and very hot times sitting in the living room. This has made such a huge difference in our comfort and is reflected in the electric bill.

I would have to install this thing myself and am well into my 70's but it was a pice of cake for which I was thankful. It also was all put together so I was ecstatic.

This is a great product and great company to deal with. I highly recommend them.

I purchased the Patio Pacific Endura Flap Quick Panel III Pet Door and have never been happier! My pomeranian has complete independence to go outside when he wants. The door and flap provide a tight fit so no bugs or water get inside my home. I was a bit hesitant to spend so much money on a sliding glass pet door, but I have to say, it was well worth the investment! It arrived quickly, was fairly easy to install and my dog began using it immediately. I would highly recommend this product to anyone seeking a solution to providing their beloved pet the ability to go outside when needed, even when you are not home!

I wasn't getting any sleep at night as he needed to go out 3 & 4 times a night. I ordered your door & it came 4 days after my initial order! It was very easy to install & just as easy to train "Fido" how to use it. Now he goes out whenever he needs to go & I'm able to get the sleep I need to function throughout the day. Thank you for the wonderful service and for a great product!

  • Excellent value, excellent web site! review by Georgia
5 5 Excellent value, excellent web site!

If you are considering any dog door, this web site is a GREAT place to start! I normally dislike buying items on-line because you cannot get a good feel for the real details. But this website provides excellent details, plenty of pictures from different angles, and, if you haven't found them yet, Videos to explain features and installation. Pet doors in general can be expensive, but they are well worth the investment if you get the RIGHT door. I encourage everyone to use this site to your full advantage (it will provide tips for picking the correct door, size, etc, along with cautions against common mistakes).
As for the Patio Pacific Quick Panel III, with the Endura Flap, this is a GREAT value for the money. My purchase included a draft stopper, the bug warden, full side magnets on the flap, weather stripping, built in spring-locks, and those brilliant adjustable rise options. Add all this to the Endura Flap technology, and I think the only thing missing was a self-cleaning option :-) . I'm looking forward to reaping the benefits of my investment, for the next 10+ years.

  • Quality Product - Exactly what my dogs need review by Mrs. ARTC
5 5 Quality Product - Exactly what my dogs need

I have never written a review before, but this pet door deserves a minute of my time to write this. I have 3 golden retrievers - all rescues with issues - and we recently moved to an area where you can hear military bombing practice and the dogs go crazy with fear. Before installing the pet door they had to be outdoors in misery waiting for the bombing practice to stop or me to get home and let them in. This pet door solved the issue. It is a quality product! My large male is 75 lbs so I thought I needed the XL door, but after following the directions listed on how to measure your dog for the right size door, I bought the large and it is PERFECT. I ordered on a Sunday and received on Tuesday - great service.
Buy this product if you are in the market for a pet door. It's slightly more expensive than other pet doors, but when you receive it you'll see that it is clearly a better quality product, foregoing the need to spend more money in years to come replacing the pet door because of bent sides and broken flaps. Another item to mention is that you can adjust the step-over height which is important if you have different sized animals, (that option is not available on most other pet doors). Thanks for a quality, durable pet door!

Please Note: This video features the Endura Flap Thermo Panel 3e, which is the same as the Quick Panel 3 with the exception of dual pane Low-E glass instead of single pane tempered glass. The installation process is the same for both panels.

Installation Instructions for the Endura Flap™ Quick Panel 3™

All Panels

  • 1x Foam Weather Strip
  • 1x Center Post Weather Seal Draft Stopper

1 Piece Pet Door

  • 1x Panel Pet Door
  • 1x Sliding Door Clamp

2 Piece Pet Door

  • 1x Top Glass Panel Section
  • 1x Bottom Flap Section
  • 4x Hex screws
  • 1x Hex wrench
  • 1x Threshold mount deadbolt with screws

The aluminum, vertical panel has a patented ‘Adjustable Step-Over’ feature which permits adjusting the height of the flap to the most comfortable fit for your pet. Generally, the top of the flap should be positioned to be at least 1” (2,5 cm) above the top of the pet’s shoulder (the ‘withers’). If the factory setting is not suitable, please adjust it before proceeding. If the current setting is suitable, or you have the vinyl panel, proceed to step 3.

Step 1A: Two-piece panels: Simply slide the pieces up and out from the bottom half of your panel to rearrange. Loosen a bottom screw if the pieces are too snug to move.

One-piece panels: Lay the entire panel on a flat surface (like the floor). Using a #2 Phillips head screwdriver, remove the bottom side-screws, and loosen the next upper screws one turn. Screws were tightly installed to hold the panel together during shipping; a drill is recommended*.

*If you do not have a Phillips head drill bit skinny enough to fit, let us know and we’ll send you one for free.

Step 2B: One-piece panels: Once the bottom screws have been removed and the next upper side-screws loosened, the Pet Door Assembly and spacers can be removed by sliding the sections down and out of the panel.

Step 2C: Replace the spacers and the Pet Door Assembly by sliding them back in a different order to achieve the desired height. You can move the spacer below or above the flap to raise or lower the flap height.

The order of the pieces is important! The piece on the bottom needs to always be at the bottom, as that is where the screws attach.

When finished, replace the bottom side-screws and tighten the next upper-side screws for one piece panels and skip to step 4. For two-piece panels, you can now assemble the patio panel!

Please Note: A lower step-over height is easier for pets to navigate. However, if the top of the flap is low enough that the pet needs to crouch to get through their pet door, they can injure themselves and possibly cause the pet door to malfunction. If your pet door does not sit at a comfortable height for your pet, you may need a larger size flap.

(if you have a single piece panel, please proceed to step 4)

Step 3A: Align the aluminum connectors extending from the bottom flap panel section with the top glass panel section. Press the aluminum connectors into the holes at the bottom of the top glass panel section. Ensure locking cover & thumb screws are on the same side!

Step 3B: Gently tap the bottom surface of the panel against the ground to completely insert the connectors. Protect hard surfaces to prevent scratching. The components of the panel are designed to slide together very tightly.

Step 3C: Fasten the two panels together using the four stainless steel hex head screws found in the panel packaging. Use the hex wrench to tighten screws so the two halves of the door are pulled together.
Please Note: Screw holes may look misaligned; this is intentional to ensure a tight fit. The panels will squeeze together as the screws are tightened.

Step 4: Loosen the thumb screws at the top of the pet panel. This allows the spring mechanism to move freely up and down.

Step 5: To insert the panel pet door into the top track, push up against the spring mechanism and swing the bottom of the panel up and over the threshold. Seat the panel on top of the small guide rail in the track. If you can’t quite get it in the track, try swinging in from the outside as the outside track wall may be shorter.

You want to put the pet door in your track before applying any weather-stripping to ensure it fits! If it fits well, move on to the next step. See our tips at the end of these steps if you have trouble!

Step 6: Once you’re sure the panel fits, remove the panel from the frame and lay it on its side on the ground. Apply the foam weather-stripping by peeling back the paper and exposing the adhesive. Unroll it along the edge of the panel, pressing to ensure it adheres. Install on both sides, trim to fit with scissors.

Step 7: The center post weather seal strip (draft stopper) should be installed on the inside of the home. It can install on either the back edge of the sliding door panel or the leading edge of the stationary panel. This strip prevents air leaking between the sliding glass door and the stationary panel. Trim with scissors as needed. Clean the edge of your patio door with rubbing alcohol before installing to assure a good seal.

Since you cannot lock your sliding glass door to your panel pet door, we have provided you with an alternative locking method to secure your home:

DOORS OVER 80 1⁄4” (203,8 cm) Tall

Installing the threshold mount deadbolt lock: For doors manufactured with the glass slider on the inside track, the lock can usually be installed on the back of the slider using the mounting screws provided. For doors manufactured with the slider on the outside, the lock is installed on the leading edge of the stationary panel.

Drill a 3⁄16” (4,8 mm) hole into the frame opposite the steel deadbolt lock. This hole MUST be 3⁄4” (1,9 cm) away

from the inside edge of the door’s frame to avoid drilling into the glass. Drilling into the glass will cause the glass to shatter.

DOORS UNDER 80 1⁄4” (203,8 cm) tall

Installing the sliding door clamp: This clamp has a screw which tightens by hand to prevent the sliding door from moving beyond the clamp’s placement. For doors manufactured with the glass slider on the inside track, the lock can usually be installed on the door’s raised track.

Q: Can an intruder remove the Endura Flap dog door for slider from the outside?

A: No, the thumb screws are on the inside of the panel, so once installed, the Endura Flap Panel cannot be lifted out and removed without first loosening the thumb screws from inside the home.

Q: Does the Endura Flap dog door sliding door come with locking covers for security?

A: Yes, these dog doors come with locking covers to ensure safety for your pet and home. Endura Flaps have locking covers that slide over them on the side facing inside your home and are made of sturdy, heavy duty ABS plastic. Unfortunately, they cannot be used on the outside of Endura Flap Panels as an alternative. We do sell extra locking covers in the case that the one included with your doggy door is misplaced!

Q: What locking mechanism can I use for the Quick Panel 3?

A: For track adjustment ranges 80.25" and below, you'll install the included clamp lock. For 80.25" and above, you can install the foot lock. Alternatively, you can purchase a Charley Bar for added security.

Q: Do the Endura Flap panels require tools for installation?

A: Endura Flap sliding glass dog doors under 80 ¼” do not require tools, however everything above this height generally will require some tools for installation. What we call a sectional panel will be shipped in two pieces because it is so tall. Breaking the pet door for sliding door down saves the customers on shipping costs, because we are able to ship in a smaller package. The sectionals will need to be assembled with 4 hex screws and a hex wrench, all of which are provided.

Q: Under which height for a Endura Flap sliding dog door would it need to be custom?

A: If your height measurement is less than 74 3/4" then you would need to order a custom dog door sliding glass.

Q: At which height over 74 3/4" would a sliding door dog door insert need to be custom?

A: 80 ¼” is the maximum height of the more standard sizes. Anything between 80 ¼” - 93 1/4”, would need to be a custom order. Furthermore, there is a tall height range, and anything above the maximum of the tall height range which is 96 ¼” will need to be custom ordered.

Q: What is the tallest non-custom height available for a Endura Flap Panel?

A: For the patio pacific endura flap quick panel 3 or the thermo panel 3e the tallest non-custom height range available is 93 1/4"-96 1/4".

Q: What is the difference between the model 01PPC12 and the model 01PPC12S?

A: The S at the end denotes that it is a Quick Panel with the single pane glass as opposed to the Thermo Panel with the dual pane glass.

Q: What is the absolute minimum and absolute maximum custom heights for Endura Flap Panels, including all flap sizes?

A: The absolute minimum and absolute maximum sizes are as follows:

Model                Minimum        Maximum

Small #6              35"                 100"

Medium #8           42"                 107"

Large #10             48"                 117"

Extra Large #12     46"                123"

Q: What is the difference between the Endura Flap Thermo Panel and the Endura Flap Quick Panel?

A: The Thermo and Quick Panels are identical except the Quick Panels have heavy duty single pane glass while the Thermo Panels have dual pane, low 'E' glass. For this reason, the Quick Panel is a better fit for more moderate climates or where a lighter weight panel is desired and the Thermo panel is more suitable for four season use.

Q: Is the Thermo Panel 3e or the Quick Panel 3e more appropriate for extreme weather?

A: The Thermo Panel 3e is more appropriate for extreme weather because of the dual pane, low 'E' glass.

Q: How long is the warranty for my Endura Flap Panel Door?

A: The warranty for the Endura Flap assembly is for a period of 15 years and the warranty for the rest of the assembly (the panel) is for 10 years and excludes glass breakage. The warranty for assemblies employed in commercial kennels are warranted for 3 years.

Q: What is the anti-whoops feature that is included in all Endura Flap Panel Doors?

A: The anti-whoops feature is included in all Endura Flap doggie door for sliding door dog doors. If you've mismeasured, you may be able to salvage the situation: To make your sliding glass door with dog door about 1" taller, you may purchase a height extension (or make your own using 1" x lumber). To make your sliding glass pet door insert slightly shorter you may trim the top flanges that accept the height extension with a hacksaw or a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade.

Q: What does the Draft Stopper do for my sliding panel door?

A: Also known as the 'Center Post Weather Strip', it seals the gap created between stationary and sliding glass doors when a panel doggy door is installed. These are essential for an airtight seal and in fact some customers use one inside and one outside in extreme climates. We included it in all Thermo Panel 3e, Quick Panel 3 and Thermo Panel 3e Microchip sliding glass pet doors for sliding glass doors, but you can use our draft stopper with any panel pet door.

Q: Do I order the step over as a certain height or can I change that at home?

A: The step over is made to be adjusted when you receive it, this way you can make sure that is set to the best level for your pets.

Q: What if my small dog or cat can't push the flap?

A: There are magnets on the side and bottom that can be taken out to help your smaller pets gain access. Please see the 'Videos' tab for instructions.

Q: How long does it take to receive a custom panel height?

A: It can take up to 4 weeks for the custom glass to be received and the panel to be built.

Q: How do I lock my slider since this cannot match with my existing lock?

A: We include a lock with purchase. For panels up to 80 1/4"" you will receive a clamp lock that attaches to the frame to push the slider against the panel insert. For panels with a greater height, a foot lock in included that is drilled into the frame for greater stability. If you wanted you could also go with a Charley Bar or the old broomstick in the track.

Q: Does this come in a double flap?

A: No, these panels are only single flap models. This flap insulates so well, it protects against weather better than other dual flap models.

Q: I want to take this in and out of my slider, how heavy is this?

A: This insert is made for temporary installs, including taking the insert in and out. The weight increases per flap size, but these inserts will average 20-25 pounds in weight.

Q: Is this flap clear?

A: It is not completely transparent, although you may be able to see the shadow of your pet just before they come back in the house. It is similar to a shower door, where you can tell something is on the other side, but it is fuzzy.

Q: How loud is it when it opens and closes?

A: When the bottom of the flap meets the magnet bar, there will be a clicking sound. For jittery pets, you may want to tape down the magnet bar to reduce sound while training them.

Q: How often will I need to replace the flap?

A: We are confident in the quality of this door and have instituted a 15 year warranty for the endura quick panel. Replacements vary with every household just depending on usage.

Q: Do I need an electronic pet door for my patio or will a regular manual one do?

A: Generally, we recommend that if you do not have a specific reason to get an electronic sliding pet door then you should get a regular manual one. There is less that could go wrong as far a possible malfunctioning. However, if you've got a stray cat problem or a raccoon problem, you'll need an electronic patio panel which would keep all unwanted animals out. Another aspect to think about is if your dog or cat is infirm or very old, one of the motorized panels that allows them in and out freely without them needing to push a flap might be the ticket to a comfortable and easy process for your pet.

Q: Can the Endura Flap Panel come with an electric door?

A: We have the Thermo Panel 2e Microchip Patio Panel that incorporates the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door into our dual pane glass panel.  This is suitable for large cats and small dogs, as the flap dimension is 7” x 7” and works off your pets embedded microchip. If your pet does not yet have the chip then it comes with an RFID collar key that can be used.

Q: What if my sliding glass door has a monorail (raised) track instead of a channel (“U” shaped) track?

If your monorail is 3/4" or less thick, you can install the Qucik Panel 3 with some modification to the bottom of the panel. You will need to contact customer service to order an additional part not sold on our website. This will be a custom installation requiring the use of a power drill and possibly a jigsaw. Once these modifications have been made, the panel will not be returnable. Here are some pictures of an Endura Flap Quick Panel installed in a monorail sliding glass door.
