  • Great quality review by Emily

The original foam I got from a different company was very cheap and my dogs tore it apart easily when pawing to come inside. This stuff is heavy duty and expands to fit and fill every area you need and isn't cheap fluff that falls apart. They provide a ton to use if you ever need to replace it. Highly recommend.

I finally replaced the weatherstrip I got with my panel with this one after a few years. This one is holding up well and its still squishy after a few months!

  • Fit perfectly review by Scottito
    5 4 Fit perfectly

Needed to replace existing weather stripping and could not find the correct width at my local hardware store. This was the perfect width for my sliding glass door panel.

  • Better than the original review by Jason
5 4 Better than the original

The stuff my panel came with didn't work very well, but this was a bit thicker and had more give to it.

  • Upgraded my current panel review by Irene
5 4 Upgraded my current panel

I bought one of the more inexpensive panels that didn't have weatherstripping that was thick enough, but this helped minimize the draft. Works well and came with more than enough.

  • Works well for me review by aquisto
5 4 Works well for me

I purchased this insulation thinking there wasn't any that came with my glass door insert. It worked fine, but wish they would have told me to cut it all the way to the top, not just to the height of the door. Consequently, I didn't do the best job of cutting the first side to fit. The foam works well at sealing the insert to the original door.

The only fault I see is that in the cold weather, it sticks to the door and I have to pry it loose to separate the insert from the door so I can get outside to fill the bird feeders.

  • Looking for better sponge weatherstrip review by PNut
5 2 Looking for better sponge weatherstrip

Put this strip on both sides of the dog door and because it's like a temperpedic mattress foam, it doesn't recover after being pressed down; therefore, leaving gaps between the dog door and the sliding glass door. Have tried everything to make it work, but I think I need a softer "foam". The foam on this seems to be too rigid at least for my application.

Tip: Before stripping adhesive off, make sure the weather stripping is the same length or longer than your panel.

1. Lay your panel down with the side of the panel facing up.

2. Remove the backing from adhesive and start from the end of the panel. Unrolling a little at a time, work up toward the spring loaded top.

Tip: It is best to unroll a little at a time for an even spread

3. Cut the remaining weather stripping at the top of the panel. When you get to the top, you can use the remaining piece to apply directly to the top of the sliding glass door.

4. Repeat the steps for the other side of the panel.

Yes, it a universal weather stripping adhesive product.

Unfortunately we only have it in grey.

There is 17 feet per roll (204"), so you should have enough for both sides.

Only the side that adheres to the panel would have the sticky adhesive.

It might be possible to find something similar to this at a hardware store.

The foam weather stripping can compress so it will fill in any small gaps between the dog door panel and the sliding door.

This will come with the Endura Flap line, however if you purchase a different brand the type will vary.

On some panels that are spring loaded there will be a gap where there is nothing solid for it to stick to. In that case you can actually put a small piece onto the edge of the sliding door at the very top.

For that you would need a draft stopper also known as a center post weather seal strip.

The best thing would be to notch out part of the weather stripping to accept the part that is sticking out.
