Great addition to a great door.
Works great. Since our sliding glass door is not close to an electrical outlet. So glad I added this to the purchase of my pet door.
Expensive but does the job
Seems a bit pricey for a battery but it does do a good job. I got 2 batteries so that one battery is always fully charged. The battery life isn't the longest but this can be handled with 2 batteries. Its a good solution for people like me who does not have an outlet near my dog door.
Handy for a backup battery
Our door isn't near an outlet, so I was worried about the door running out of battery and then not having time to charge it. This way I'll always have a spare on hand.

Don't have to worry about not being close to an outlet which I love. It's very convenient to have and reduces the amount of wires laying around the house.
Necessary for door installation
It doesn't say it, but you really should get this if your putting it through a door. works way better than tripping over a chord all the time and accidentally pulling it out of the wall.
