Hopefully the plastic will hold up, but it does make putting it in cleaner and easier.

the frame was too shore and did not overlap the sliding door nor the skirting on the outside wall. the solution was to cover the cracks with duct tape - a little funky
Needs standard wall instructions
This works well, no doubt for 2X4 walls with thin siding only, but for 2X6, or brick veneer walls it is too thin. It will require a second purchase to extend the opening deep enough to finish the job right. The design should accomplish this well. I'll also get extra batteries based on other reviews.

I accidentally bought the door model instead of the wall model so the customer service rep pointed me towards this. This fits perfectly in my 5.5 in wall! Installation was pretty simple and straightforward. The hardest part was cutting into the wall.
