Number of Flaps:
1 - Single Flap: On inside of wall (same side as locking cover)
2 - Double Flap: One on each side. The included dead-air-space and extra flap add significantly to the already considerable insulation and sealing values.

This was the pet door that Lowe’s put on my new door. I hate it. It’s not safe. Can’t lock it and it is awful!!! Tried to replace the flaps, flimsy plastic bracket broke immediately. Can’t find anywhere to upgrade the brackets and possibly modify this ignorance. If anyone has ever upgraded this to better, I’ve been looking for several months and have had no luck… I need help to fix this. Please.

This is a great choice for installing a pet door in a paneled door. It's also a good option if you have a hole in your door left behind by an old pet door and want to cover up the damage and install a new flap at the same time.
