Creates a secure, custom-fit channel for monorail sliding doors, improving panel stability, reducing movement, and delivering a cleaner, more integrated finish

Monorail sliding glass doors often leave standard patio inserts with too much room to shift, tilt, or feel unsupported. This adapter solves that problem by creating a defined channel that holds your Thermo Panel firmly in place. The result is a more stable installation that feels intentional, not improvised.

Once installed, the adapter improves how the panel sits within the track, reducing side-to-side movement and helping maintain consistent alignment over time. This added stability can make everyday use smoother, especially in homes with active pets or frequent door traffic.

The design is straightforward and purpose-built for Endura aluminum panels, ensuring compatibility without the need for workarounds. Pre-punched guide holes help position the adapter correctly, while final drilling allows it to be securely fastened for long-term use.

While the Thermo Panel itself is typically tool-free, the adapter adds a more anchored solution for monorail systems that benefit from additional support. It remains removable if needed, making it a practical option for both permanent and transitional living situations.

In colder climates, some airflow or condensation may still occur due to the nature of monorail systems, but the adapter helps reduce excess gaps and improves overall fit compared to unsupported installations.

Installation & Fit

  • Fits monorail sliding glass door tracks measuring at least ¾ inch wide by ¾ inch high
  • Attaches directly to Endura aluminum Thermo Panels to create a guided channel within the track
  • Secures to the panel using included screws and cap nuts for a stable, semi-permanent installation
  • Requires drilling through the panel using pre-punched guide holes for final fastening
  • Installs using basic hand tools to anchor the adapter firmly in place
  • Removes cleanly if needed, making it suitable for rental or temporary setups
  • Does not fit Endura vinyl panels or non-Endura pet door models

Questions

What's in the box?

  • Monorail Adapter
  • 2 10-24 Stainless Steel Acorn nuts
  • 2 10-24 x 1-1/8" Stainless Steel Screws

How do I measure my old flap to order the right replacement size?

Measure the flap panel itself, not the hole it covers and not the outside of the frame. Take the width across the flap at its widest point, then the height from the top edge, including the section that sits under the retainer, down to the bottom edge.

Then count the holes along the top edge and measure the distance between the centers of the two outermost holes. Flap dimensions repeat across brands but hole patterns do not, so that spacing is usually what tells us which flap is actually yours. The size guide on the product page lists the flap dimensions for each size we carry, so you can check your measurements against it before ordering.

Can I add additional magnets to my Endura Flap door?

Yes. Endura Flap magnets are available separately, and adding them is a good way to increase the closing strength of your flap. That is worth doing on a door that faces prevailing wind or sits in an exposed doorway, where a firmer close keeps the weather seal tight.

For help selecting magnets, or any other specialty part for your Endura Flap door, contact Endura Flap directly. They can confirm what suits your specific door and how it fits.

Can I buy just one flap for a double flap pet door?

Yes. On a double flap door the two flaps are separate parts, so you can replace one and leave the other in place. That is common, because the exterior flap takes the weather and the UV and usually wears out first.

Order the same size as your door and tell us which side you need if the two differ. If both flaps are the same age it is worth replacing them together. A new flap sits against the frame more tightly than a relaxed older one, and mixing the two can leave the seal uneven.

Parts

  • Monorail Adapter
  • 2 10-24 Stainless Steel Acorn nuts
  • 2 10-24 x 1-1/8" Stainless Steel Screws

Tools

  • Drill with a 3/8“ bit for drilling metal
  • Clamps (Optional, but helpful)

Before drilling into your panel, test fit which side of the monorail adapter (1” or 1-1/2") depth will fit over your track the best without any gaps.

Step 1 Test Fit the Adapter

Test Fit the Adapter
  • Test fit the adapter on your monorail track to determine which side fits your monorail height the best (1” or 1-1/2").
  • The opposite channel will hold your pet door panel.
  • Mark the side for the panel so you can properly drill the holes.

Step 2 Lay the Panel Flat & Drill the Holes

Lay the Panel Flat & Drill the Holes
  • Lay the panel on a table with the Height Adjustment Locks facing up.
  • Clamp it to the table (optional)
  • With the end of the panel hanging slightly off the table, drill the holes straight through the panel and adapter pieces (all the way until the drill bit punches through the other side of the adapter).

Step 3 Apply Weatherstripping

Apply Weatherstripping
  • Remove the panel from the table. Remove the clamps, holding the adapter to the panel.
  • Apply weather stripping to sides of panel (included upon the purchase of your panel).

Step 4 Position In Slider Track

Position In Slider Track
  • Have one person hold the panel in place over the monorail track, leaving at least ¼” of space between the bottom of the panel and the track.
  • The second person needs to slide the adapter pieces together onto the inside and outside face of the patio panel so that they overlap and sandwich the panel and track.
  • Note - if there is enough room you may be able to install the monorail to panel before installation

Step 5 Bolt on monorail

Bolt on monorail
  • Put the two screws through the holes and screw the cap nuts on (or nuts with protective caps).

Step 6 Release Height Adjustment Mechanism

Release Height Adjustment Mechanism
  • Gently release the Height Adjustment Locks so that the height adjustment piece rises into the upper track.
  • Tighten the Height Adjustment Locks to affix the top tension adjustment piece in place.
  • Assure that the panel is stable and fixed in place. Then have the second person release the panel.
