Wind resistance
The flaps can blow open, even through they are pretty heavy, so adding the extra magnets helps a bunch.
Perfect solution for my windy location
I have high winds here on the plains in Oklahoma. I added a couple of extra magnets and it helped to keep the flap shut.
the replacement I needed
Dog chewed off one of the magnets, so I needed to get a replacement. The magnets are pretty strong - keeps my flap closed even on windy days.
Really handy in high wind areas
It was really nice to be able to add some extra magnets when the windy season hit. The regular magnets worked well enough for the most part, but the extras helped close those annoying little holes that sometimes let air though. Installation was relatively simple and I'm happy with the product
Replacement parts
These were parts needed for a minor repair. So far, after two years the door has been very functional. I only needed to replace one of the magnets as it came loose and disappeared in the yard, but I ordered the wrong part by mistake....keeping it just in case for future repairs. What amazes me is the middle of winter when I put my hand down near the door I don't feel any drafts at all, even when it's subfreezing temperatures outside. I really think it's the dual flap design that makes this so energy efficient. My dogs are very happy being able to come in and out all day while I'm at work. I had my parts delivered via Fed Ex within a day.
