The PetSafe "Cat Veranda"
is a new and exciting cat door product for sash (sliding up and
down) windows. This product consists of the Cat Windoor
plus a special cage enclosure that allows your cat to experience
the sights and smells of the out of doors while keeping him
safely enclosed. He can't get out and nothing else can get
in!
This cat flap portion is available in one size
only (the manufacturer says cats to 20 lbs but your mileage may
vary. We think you should simulate the opening and call your cat
through before ordering as always).
We're a little disappointed with the tolerance
maintained between the flap and surrounding frame. Some
customers in severe weather areas have returned this door
because they felt this gap was too large. In moderate areas this
shouldn't be a problem.
HOT TIP: PetSafe also offers the
Cat Windoor
as a stand-alone item for
cases where the cat can be allowed outdoors safely.
