Designed for both single-pane and double-pane glass doors, this innovative pet door allows your furry friends to come and go as they please without compromising the space and functionality of your sliding glass door or hinged door.
The Hale pet door is specifically designed for glass doors, offering a space-saving alternative to traditional panel pet doors. With eleven different sizes available, this pet door accommodates pets of various breeds and sizes. The extruded aluminum frame and steel-reinforced corners provide exceptional stability, ensuring long-lasting durability and performance.
To Complete your order, you will fill out a short electronic survey (link on your order confirmation email) and need to know the following before we can begin building your pet door:
Glazier Required for Installation: Because existing tempered glass cannot be cut, this application requires replacing the entire pane of glass. Glass cutting, tempering, and installing a dog door in a glass door require a glass professional. It is always best to have the pet door in hand before ordering the glass so that you have the exact dimensions needed.
Single-Pane Model: Fits tempered safety glass up to 3/16" and comes with a single flap only. If you have single-pane glass over 3/16" thick, you will need to order the double-pane model. Includes Comp Strips.
Double-Pane Model: Fits glass thickness from 1/4" to 1-3/8". Can be used in glass thicknesses 1-3/8 to 2" thick with a build-out that will be included in the order. The standard order of this model comes with double flaps and an interior security cover, but it can be ordered with a single flap. Includes Comp Strips and Buildout.
Please Note: For sliding glass doors that slide inside the fixed panel, the pet door should be placed on the slider. For sliding glass doors that slide outside the fixed panel, the pet door should be placed on the fixed panel. This is to ensure the slider is able to fully open and not blocked by the lock or potential build-out.
Warning: Thermo-Tru brand sliding glass doors require a specialized glazier for installation. Make sure you do not have a Therma-Tru pet door before purchasing.

It's so nice to have a door directly in the glass so our dog can just go through our french door. I like this design better than others and it's so easy for him to push through!
The product is great, but it takes some searching to find the right installer to do it since they have to make the glass for you. Would be nice if they had people to recommend locally.
This door works perfect. I had my glazier cut a hole in my new sliding door and install this door. It fits and looks great and i do not lose any of my exit or entry width. It also insulates pretty well. Great door.
