Track Height Adjustment range is based on the measurement of your sliding door track height from the lowest point of your track to the highest point. Each Endura Flap Thermo Panel 3e has a 3" adjustment range. Review our Track Measuring Guide video for additional, detailed information The following standard adjustment ranges are available:

Short: 74 3/4" – 77 3/4"
Regular: 77 1/4" – 80 1/4"
Tall: 93 1/4" – 96 1/4" (additional cost)

If your measured track height does not fall within one of the ranges above, we can make a custom height! Custom height option may take up to 4 weeks to special order the glass and build the panel.

Can an intruder remove a dog door for sliding glass doors from the outside? No, the thumbscrews are on the inside of the panel, so once installed, the Endura Flap Panel cannot be lifted out and removed without first loosening the thumbscrews from inside the home.
Can I install it myself? It is meant to easily be put in and removed. You just have to loosen the screws at the top, fit it into the track, and then tighten them. Then to remove it you simply loosen them again and pop it out.
Can you lock the pet door? It comes with a closing cover, and you slide that in on the inside of the house. It is a very secure ABS plastic material that is as strong as a 16 gauge steel.
Do the Endura Flap panels require tools for installation? All panel sizes will require a flathead screwdriver for the height adjustment locks. Panels that ship in two pieces (sectionals) will need to be assembled with 4 hex screws and a hex wrench, all of which are provided for sectionals. The following panels ship in one piece: Panels under 80 ¼" with a Small, Medium, or Large flap. The following panels ship in two pieces: Panels over 80 ¼" with a Small, Medium, Large, or Extra-Large flap and panels under 80 ¼" with an Extra-Large flap. Shipping a tall and/or wide panel in two pieces saves customers on shipping costs since it can be shipped in a smaller box.
Does it lock? We do include a c-clamp lock. It is not designed to mate with your existing sliding door lock. You can also use a Charley-Bar or dowel in the track.
Does the Endura Flap dog door sliding door come with locking covers for security? Yes, these dog doors come with locking covers to ensure safety for your pet and home. Endura Flaps have locking covers that slide over them on the side facing inside your home and are made of sturdy, heavy-duty ABS plastic. Unfortunately, they cannot be used on the outside of Endura Flap Panels as an alternative.
Does this insulate well? The Endura Flap has superior insulating capabilities! The flap has magnets that seal all the way around, and will stay closed in wind gusts up to 50mph.
Does this insulate well in severe weather? This door has superior insulating capabilities. The double flaps have magnets that seal all the way around, and will stay closed in wind gusts up to 50mph. The Low-e glass also compliments the insulating value of you new vinyl door. It is our #1 recommendation for extreme climates.
Does this keep mice, rats, and other pests out? This is a manual door, so there is no guarantee that critters will not get in. However, the Endura Flap has incredibly strong magnets that are hard for small critters to push through and get in.
Does this panel work with vinyl sliders? Yes, the endura flap 3e is compatible with most vinyl sliding patio doors for a vinyl-pet slider that matches your existing track. At 1" thick, it is thicker than most aluminum panels, so it will fit better in a vinyl track. The track width may not line up exactly with the panel, but it is only an issue with the aesthetics, not functionality.
How do I install this pet door into a slider where the doors meet in the middle? Installation can work the same way as with standard sliding doors. In order for the panel insert to remain secure and stable, you will need to make one of your sliders stationary. In essence, you will only be allowed to slide and walk through one of your two sliders.

Vinyl doors are typically 1.5" thick, offer better insulation, and match well with vinyl sliding doors due to their energy-efficient nature and thicker frames. Aluminum doors, on the other hand, are 1" thick, less insulating but highly durable, and they pair well with aluminum sliding doors for a consistent look and maintenance ease. \n \n When choosing between them, we recommend getting the panel that matches your sliding glass door's track material (aluminum with aluminum, or vinyl with vinyl) and will fit into your track's width.

Some sliding glass door tracks have a triangle-shaped guide rail instead of a cylindrical pencil rail running along the middle. This pet door panel has an arch along the bottom that is designed to sit on top of a cylindrical pencil rail. Pencil rails are shorter in height than triangular guide rails, which means that the pet door panel would wobble on top of it rather than sitting flush with the rest of the track. To accommodate the pet door panel you will need to build up the sides of the triangular guide rail so that the tip is less than ¼” tall. What are some breeds of dogs these will fit? Small would be Chihuahuas, Yorkies, and cats. Medium would be good for Corgis, Jack Russell Terriers, and French Bulldogs. What do the Step Over Range dimensions mean? The step over is the part of the panel under the actual door opening. Depending on the flap size purchased, the stepover can range from 3"-7". This means that you can adjust it to any stepover within that range. So if you have a puppy, you can keep adjusting it as he/she grows.
What does the recommended pet height mean? That column is what we recommend be the range of pet height that would be suitable for that particular flap size. So for example if you pet is 20"tall and could fit though a 10" wide opening, then you could go with the large flap.
What if my track is wider than 1-1/2"? It can still work if your track is wider, but if the channel in the bottom, top, or side measures less than that you will not be able to fit it into place properly.
What is the thickness of the Endura Flap aluminum panel? The Endura Flap Thermo Panel 3e is 1" thick. It is only thick enough for a single flap, not a double flap.

Endura flap. Custom Thermo panel 3E.

We finally got our new enclosed patio done with three huge sliding glass doors. And then we added the enduro lap custom thermal panel 3Epet door. It arrived in good condition and went together easy and quick. I installed it myself insulation worked well. The only problem was to draft stop x2 was for a short glass door I believe 84 inches and needed to be for a 96 inch door so I called Pet doors and they shipped me one of two draft stops, hopefully they will send the second draft stop soon. We’re in Western Colorado and it gets cold here in the winter and hot in the summer and windy in the spring and summer. Two of the propers size draft will be necessary.

Easy to put together and use. We install the panel when visiting my mother and remove when we leave. Works well and very convenient. Future consideration: install a sliding door locking mechanism on the panel with a spring loaded bottom section. Would be nice to install panel and lock to the existing sliding door locks.

We just received the pet door week. The quality is far superior to our last sliding glass doggie door. it's much heavier/more solid, the glass is higher quality and better insulated, and the flap is both thicker and has a stronger magnet to keep it closed, even during high winds. Our sliding doors are oversized, custom, Pella doors, and we were concerned the pet door wouldn't fit properly. However, the fit was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be happier. It was well worth the price.
