Are replacement flaps available? Yes, we carry Endura Replacement Flaps. They will work for all Endura models (wall mounts, doggy door mounts, kennel doors, window sashes, and sliding glass door patio pet doors).
How easy is it to clean the flap? It is extremely easy to clean the flap. All you need to do is wipe it down with warm water and mild dish soap. Do not use any abrasive cleaners as you may damage the material.
How high off the floor should my dog door be? Generally, every pet door should at least 3" off the floor to maintain your door or wall's integrity. The distance between the bottom edge of your pet door and the floor is called the step-over, and is an important aspect of determining how big of a pet door your dog requires. The step-over should be easy for your dog to "step-over," and never be more than a third of your dog's height. You can read more about step-overs in our measuring guide: /pages/measure-your-pet.
How secure is the locking cover on the Endura Flap Door? Endura Flap features a secure locking cover made of high-strength material comparable to 1/16" steel. Its integrated locking latch ensures the cover cannot be lifted or tampered with from the outside, providing a robust barrier for your home.
I do not have to contend with wind or rain. If I buy the single flap version of the wall dog door is it possible to add the second flap in the future? It is possible. I don't want my cat to get outside, is this cat proof? A manual pet door is pretty easy for smaller pets to use, even in the larger flap sizes. If you do not want your cat to go through, you would need to look at an electronic pet door options, such as the High Tech Power Pet, or the PetSafe Electronic Smart Door.
I have a small and large dog sharing this door. Will my small dog be able to open the flaps on the extra large double flap dog door? It depends on the tenacity of your small dog. With the Endura flap door for walls you can decrease the magnetic resistance of the threshold on large and extra large sizes making it easier for your small dog to use. You will also want to make sure the door is mounted low enough for the small dog to walk through and high enough to clear the large dog's back. This may mean purchasing a larger flap.
I live in an area with hot summers and cold winters. Is this a 4 season pet door? Yes! It has been tested in temperatures as low as -40° and as high as 110° Fahrenheit.
I want to get the large pet door for my dog, but I am concerned about a person fitting through an x-large door. All Endura Flap Pet Doors come with a locking cover. Great cat door for wall

I wish this site allowed customers to post pictures of the product installed. I ordered the one flap cat door for walls. I appreciate the fact that it has a cover that can be placed over the door to keep the cat inside or outside (which has come in handy for when they decide to bring a live animal in the house). I have it installed on an outside wall that connects into our 3/4 screened in porch. It has a thin frame around the door that gives it a more polished look. My cats already use a cat door / window sash so it's no problem for them to use this one even with all the magnets in it.
