Number of Flaps:
1 - Single Flap: On inside of wall (same side as locking cover)
2 - Double Flap: One on each side. The included dead-air-space and extra flap add significantly to the already considerable insulation and sealing values.
The design of the flap is faulty-- there is a line of small open holes along the top and the magnetic strip along the bottom isnt strong enough to adhere closed when my dog goes in or out
I've had several Petsafe doors over the years and just installed this one for our new Boston Terrier pup. She’s very high energy and loves being able to race in and out whenever she chooses. It’s also been a huge aid in house-breaking.
It was easy to installed, my kittens love it!
I bought two doors. I installed the regular one on the door from the kitchen to the garage and an 'extreme weather' between the garage and outside. Hired professionals to install. There was no way I could unmount the house doors from hinges and then use the template. But the guys were strong enough and got both done in about an hour.
