The PetSafe Microchip Cat Door utilizes advanced microchip recognition technology to grant exclusive access to your cat or very small dog while keeping unwanted animals at bay. The 5.91" W x 5.51" H flap is suitable for cats and very small dogs, allowing your furry friends to come and go as they please.

The Microchip Cat Door is designed to work with 15-digit microchip numbers and can be easily programmed for up to 40 pets, making it perfect for multi-pet households. You can also purchase an additional Microchip Cat Door Collar Key to give non-microchipped cats and dogs access to the door.

The four-way locking system offers ultimate control, allowing you to choose between open, locked, in-only, or out-only settings based on your specific needs. Step 1 Initial Programming

  • Have your cat nearby for programming. Once in learn mode there will be 60 seconds to program the door.
  • Insert four AA batteries into the battery compartment. The unit will automatically turn on. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  • Set the manual lock to the In-Out position.
  • Press and hold the mode button until the LED turns red. The door is now in learn mode.
  • Quickly place your cat’s head in the tunnel to scan the microchip. Once recognized, the red light will turn off and the door will unlatch.

Step 2 Position the Template

  • Measure the height of your cats belly.
  • Mark this height on your door and draw a 168mm horizontal line.
  • Tape the cutting template to the door having the drawn horizontal line at the bottom of the circle.
  • Drill the four corner holes using a 12mm drill bit.

Step 3 Make the Cutout

  • Starting in a drilled hole, use a jigsaw to cut along the lines for the door hole.
  • Place the interior frame into the cut hole. On the outside of the door, place the exterior frame.
  • Mark the exterior screw holes with a pencil.
  • Remove both frames and drill exterior screw holes with a 6mm drill bit.

Step 4 Make the Cutout

  • Remove the template and drill holes inside the corners.
  • Use a jigsaw to connect the drill holes, following the lines.

Warranty Type: One Year Non-Transferable Limited Warranty

Duration: Valid for one (1) year from the purchase date for the original retail consumer purchaser only.

Coverage:

  • PetSafe product will be free from defects in material or workmanship when subject to normal and proper residential use.

  • Labor and parts are covered for the first year of ownership.

  • In the event of a defect, PetSafe will replace the part with a new or refurbished part.

Exclusions:

  • Products represented as used, refurbished, or “as-is”, or not in the original packaging are not covered.

  • Warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by animals, commercial use, misuse, neglect, improper installation, use of non-PetSafe accessories, events beyond normal residential conditions, and any cause not involving manufacturing defects.

  • Does not cover labor for removal or installation of parts.
