Please read instructions & notes thoroughly before installation.

Step 1 Loosen Height Adjustment Locks

Loosen the height adjustment locks at the top of the pet panel with the screwdriver. This allows the spring mechanism to move freely up and down.

Step 2 Test Fit the Panel in Your Track

You want to put the pet door in your track before applying any weather stripping to ensure it fits. If the panel fits well, proceed to the next step. See the Troubleshooting Section if you encounter difficulties.
To insert the panel into the top track, push up against the spring mechanism and swing the bottom of the panel up and over the threshold.
Seat the panel on top of the small guide rail in the track.
If you can't quite get it in the track, try swinging in from the outside as the outside track wall may be shorter.

Step 3 Apply Weatherstripping

Once you're sure the panel fits, remove it from the frame and lay it on its side on the ground.
For foam weatherstripping: Peel the backing off the foam weatherstripping. Press it along both edges of the panel, trimming as needed with scissors to ensure a snug fit.
For rubber weatherstripping: Clean the edge of your sliding door or window with rubbing alcohol to help the weatherstripping stick properly. Starting at the top or bottom, peel and press the strip into place with the folded edge facing indoors—align angled cuts if you have two pieces. For best results, apply the seal to the sliding door or window, but it can go on the pet door panel if needed.
Foam weatherstripping is applied onto both sides of the panel, but the rubber weather stripping only applies on the side of the slider door. Your panel will come with one type of weather stripping. You do not need both types.

Step 4 Install the Draft Stopper

The center post weather seal strip (draft stopper) should be installed on the inside of the home.
It can install on either the back edge of the sliding door panel or the leading edge of the stationary panel.
This strip prevents air from leaking between the sliding glass door and the stationary panel.
Trim with scissors as needed. Clean the edge of your patio door with rubbing alcohol before installing to assure a good seal.
Repeat step two to install the panel in your track.

Step 5 Install the Panel

If you haven't already, insert the panel back into your sliding door track the same way you did earlier: pushing up against the spring mechanism and swinging the bottom into place. Push it snug into the side track!
Make sure everything is sitting securely.
Tighten the height adustment locks in the spring mechanism.
And that's it! Your pet door is installed and ready for use. Now, watch your pet strut through their new door like they own the place!

Step 1 Align the Connectors

Align the aluminum connectors extending from the bottom flap panel section with the top glass panel section. Remove the 4 sectional connectors screws before joining the sections.
Press the aluminum connectors into the holes at the bottom of the top glass panel section.
Ensure locking cover & height adjustment locks are on the same side!

Step 2 Assemble the Panel

To fully seat the connectors, gently tap the bottom edge of the panel against the ground
Tip: Place a towel or soft surface underneath to protect your floor, and the panel!
Fasten the two panels together using the four sectional connector screws.

Step 3 Loosen Height Adjustment Locks

Can I install it myself? It is meant to easily be put in and removed. You just have to loosen the screws at the top, fit it into the track, and then tighten them. Then to remove it you simply loosen them again and pop it out.
Can you lock the pet door? It comes with a closing cover, and you slide that in on the inside of the house. It is a very secure ABS plastic material that is as strong as a 16 gauge steel.
Does it come in any color other than white? No, but the you can paint the vinyl to match.
Does it lock? We do include a c-clamp lock. It is not designed to mate with your existing sliding door lock. You can also use a Charley-Bar or dowel in the track.
Does this insulate well? The Endura Flap has superior insulating capabilities! The flap has magnets that seal all the way around, and will stay closed in wind gusts up to 50mph.

This pet door panel has an arch along the bottom that is designed to sit on top of a cylindrical pencil rail. Pencil rails are shorter in height than triangular guide rails, which means that the pet door panel would wobble on top of it rather than sitting flush with the rest of the track. To accommodate the pet door panel you will need to build up the sides of the triangular guide rail so that the tip is less than ¼” tall. Building out the track means adding a piece of wood or vinyl that is the same height as the pencil rail to the space next to the pencil rail. This creates a flat surface for the pet door panel to sit on. Next, you will need to secure the panel to the track wall. To do this, you can use L brackets or you can toenail the panel into the track wall. Toenailing is the process of fastening the panel to the track by driving a nail at roughly a 45-degree angle into the panel and through the track wall. Please note that these modifications result in a semi-permanent installation. If you needed to remove the panel in the future you would first have to remove the L brackets or nails. Additionally, please note that this process would leave holes in the pet door panel and it would no longer be returnable. Please reach out to customer service to further discuss this process or different options for an Anderson or Pella sliding door.

Great Quality Pet Door

The pet door itself fit well, is well constructed and aesthetically pleasing. Our cats got used to it pretty quickly. I did not detract from the 5 stars but there are a couple of things to mention. There were no installation instructions in the box - there was a QR code which just sent me to the website instead of directly to the instructions. I had to look around the web site and make sure I found the instructions for the correct pet door I purchased. The other issue is order wait time. It was 3-4 weeks before the product was even shipped. When I queried the status of my order on 2 occasions the responses by customer service did not seem to agree with what actually was happening/happened with the order.

Sliding Door Cat Door for Four Cats

The door materials are of good quality but the flap does not secure tightly to the magnets when my cats exit and enter through the flap. They do not use their heads to push through the flap like a dog would; they swipe the flap with their paws until an opening appears in the side or bottom and then coyly slip through (leaving an unhinged flap). Subsequently, if I want a secure door seal I need to almost constantly monitor and then manually snap the flap into place.

I’m not a big online shopper because I’m old school, and like to see what I’m getting in person when it comes to doors or anything that’s part of the exterior of my house … but it’s getting harder and harder to find decent products like pet doors in my town here in Central Calif. So instead of driving to the city and wandering about a big box store I tried petdoors.com for our new doggy door and man were we pleased with the experience. We were recommended the Liberty Pet Door Vinyl Patio Panel by their staff and they were spot on. It looks great and matches the white sliding door we have perfectly … the door has strong magnets that keep pests out but aren’t too challenging for the dog to push to get in and out. It only took a couple treats and a couple tries and our dog was using the door in no time. Great product. Great recommendation. Great service. I also love the install video, which I found by scanning a QR code on the instructions … it was waaaay easier to see how the door was installed by video rather than reading step by step instructions. Something new for the dogs to learn

I ordered a vinyl pet patio door, so my dogs could go out to the deck when I'm not home. I have fenced in yard but no patio door leading to the yard area. The door took a little longer to arrive than I thought it would. When it arrived it was in perfect condition, easy to install. So easy. Durable and sturdy. My dogs are learning to use it. They like to stick their heads out the panel and just look and sniff the air a lot. It's a win for all of us.

Is it to install by far the most easy. Smaller animals have a hard time going through the door.
