This product is the Ideal Flap and Frame Assembly replacement package for the Ideal Fast Fit, Fast Sash, and Modular Pet Door plastic pet door models. This bundle allows you to replace just the frame and flap instead of having to purchase a new panel. Only requiring a screwdriver for installation, these Ideal pet door replacement parts will have your pet door flap back in action in under 10 minutes.
All frames are available in white, bronze, or gray to match your original panel. The original Ideal pet doors products are organized based on logo design: rectangular or round. Even if they are the same flap size, the rectangular and round doors are not interchangeable. Please refer to the ordering process below, which explains how to order based on the logo that your flap has.
RECTANGULAR LOGO: The rectangular logo reads, “Ideal Pet, Your Flap Size, Made in USA.” If your current door features a rectangular logo on the flap, make sure to select "Rectangular Logo" in the drop-down menu. The rectangular logos come in small to extra large sizes. Ideal has discontinued the super large size flap and frame for the rectangular logo pet doors. The round logo in size super large is not compatible, so please refrain from ordering that one in an attempt to replace it.
ROUND LOGO: The round logo says “Ideal Pet Products since 1979,” with the lettering circling around a dog and cat. If your current door features a round logo on the center of the flap, make sure to select "Round Logo" in the drop-down menu. The round logos come in small, medium, extra large, and super large.

Can I purchase one with a metal frame?
No, the Ideal frame is plastic. There are no metal replacement frames available.
Can I get a better flap or frame?
Since doors and flaps are not interchangeable, you cannot upgrade the replacement frame and flap without replacing your entire dog door installation.
Can I purchase just the frame?
The Ideal replacement frame is only available through the manufacturer directly.
What is the difference between Round and Rectangular?
The Ideal plastic frame and flap with the round logo is actually two parts, so there is an inner frame and an outer frame that screw together. The rectangle logo is only an inside frame that mounts directly onto the sides of the panel.
Does it come with the slide in cover to close off the pet door?
It does not come with the cover. Please contact customer service to special order a cover for an additional charge.
If I don't have the flap and frame, how do I know what I need?
The best thing would be to email us some photos of the panel along with the measurement of the entire width of the panel.
Is the flap and frame for the XXL still available?
Ideal discontinued the replacement frames and flap assemblies in the 15" x 20" flap size. They are only available in the round logo, which will not work with the old style panels.
My flap measures 9" x 16"?
This would mean that you need the replacement dog door flap 9" x 15", but depending on how you measure and that flaps warp and change shape a little over time, you may get a size different than what we have on the website.
If you have the rectangular logo, just go by what is on the flap listed as the size (small, medium, large, or XXL). This is because the medium rectangular logo has 7 x 11 1/2" flap dimension on it and now they list it as 7" x 11 1/4".
If you have the round logo, then go by the size that is closest to what you have.
I really just need to replace the flap. Can I do that?
Yep, the pet door replacement flap is available.
Is the 9" x 15" flap offered in a round logo?
No. The 9" x 15" replacement flap was only made with a rectangular logo.
Are all the flaps clear?
Yes, they are all clear vinyl flaps.
What do I need to order if my packing list has 19RI14 G-RECT or 19RI14 W-RECT?
Those are the old style rectangular logo XL flap and frame in the grey or white color.
Will the Ideal flap and frame with the Ultra Flex flap fit?
If you have the Fast Fit Panel, the Ultra Flex will not be compatible.
What colors are available in the Ideal Flap and Frame Assembly?
It depends on the logo and flap size. Some of the older models are being phased out and colors may not be available.
I need a 9" x 15" replacement flap for my Ideal plastic frame pet door. How do I order a 9" x 15" flap with a plastic frame?
The 9" x 15" flap and frame can be ordered here. The 9" x 15" large replacement flap for plastic Ideal original doors are logo specific, so order to replace exactly what you have.
Can you help me learn how to remove and install the new flap?
